This amazing album will wonderfully invoke your fondest memories of uplifting encounters with Nature. Track titles matter and track 7 (This Splendid Place) is so appropriately titled that it will probably invoke tears, as it does with me. pileated31

Steve Roach's music generally falls into a number of sonic themes. There's his "earthly" side, which often involves rhythms with synths or drums. There's his "inner space" side, which is more abstract in feel. Eclipse Mix is an example of his "outer space" side, where the feel is more celestial. The phrase that comes to mind here is "heavy luminescence". It gets surprisingly intense at times and works as both foreground and background music. fyeahmetal
